One to two times a year the Museum of Cultural History (MCH) will offer a career development and transferrable skills focused seminar to all our early stage researchers. Programming will be developed in consultation with our ESRs, and coordination of these events lies with the ESR programme working group at MCH.

Scope and priorities for the Early Stage Researcher seminars at the Museum of Cultural History
Transferrable or generic skills development relevant for Early stage career researchers is the overarching focus of these seminars.
Topics should include:
- career planning
- work-leisure balance
- leadership (self-management and group leadership)
- networking
- application writing
- science communication
The Museum has a particular focus on the areas of:
- Project development and funding
- Collaboration and integration in research groups/projects
- General/ transferrable skills development and
- Internationalisation
Early Stage Researcher programme working group
The group coordinates the seminars and other events for Early stage researchers at the MCH. Members consist of one of MCHs research leaders (Heads of Department), a representative from the current ESR group, Head of MCHs research council, Head of MCHs dissemination council, a representative from our HR department and is coordinated by one of our research advisers. Other resources are drawn in as needed.

The group is very interested in suggestions and input on programming for the seminars. Please contact the group at forskingsradgiver@khm.uio.no or go through one of the current members with your suggestions. We also make sure to set aside time for discussing future programming during the seminars.
