Project presentations: Veronica Aniceti and Lars Morten Fuglevik

The FOODIMPACT project welcomes you to a presentation of Veronica Aniceti's postdoctoral project in zooarcheology and Lars Morten Fuglevik's PhD project in archeology. They will focus on  abundance of main domesticated species in the medieval city of Oslo and on the use of ceramics in the medieval cuisine.

Oslogate 6: preliminary zooarchaeological results

In this presentation the preliminary zooarchaeological results from Oslogate 6 will be presented and discussed. The research will be mainly focused on the abundance of the main domesticated species (cattle, sheep/goat and pig) across different chronological periods  (1075-1450 AD) as well as on the variety of food products they were exploited for. Brief comments about fish exploitation (mainly cod) will also follow.

Trade, power and the development of urban food culture in high medieval Oslo

Lars Morten presents his PhD-project on medieval pottery from high medieval Oslo. The main data and sites will be discussed.
