The museum is a distinguished place for working across disciplines in research, teaching, and public outreach. Many of us bridge and combine topics and methods from both the humanities and the sciences in our daily research. While it can be challenging to work across what has been labelled as 'The Two Cultures' of academia, these complementary approaches often lead to great insights and new interpretations of our past, nature, and contemporary society.
At this year's Annual Seminar of the Research Council, we look forward to investigate and debate these topics not only amongst ourselves but together with our colleagues from UiO's Natural History Museum.
