The Finsen Light, created by Nils Ryberg Finsen (1860–1904), was used for skin therapy a century ago. Finsen was the founder of modern phototherapy and received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1903. You can see the Finsen light at Norsk Teknisk Museum.
