Description: Carved tobacco pipe made from wood, metal and copper. This type of pipe had a practical function as well as reflecting its owners own societal status. The end piece of the pipe is shaped as a head, whilst the rest of the object consist of both smooth and textured parts.

These ornate pipes can be attributed to the people with a high societal status. According to the catalogue text, this type of pipe was used to smoke hemp.  

Captain Christian Martini and Captain Christian Schønberg sold the pipe to the Ethnographic museum. Approx. 1890.
